request: Pixel inspector show in 10bit and 16bit values

Currently the pixel inspector can show 8bit and 32bit values. Having 10bit integer and 16bit float values would be appreciated too. 10bit is common for videos so it would be very nice.

@Quackdoc i just wanted to double check what values you are hoping this would show. HDRView converts all pixel storage to linear floating point on file load. Are you simply hoping to see the linearized [0,1] range quantized to 10 and 16 bit values? That is pretty simple for me to add. If you are hoping to see the quantized values stored in the original file (with whatever non-linear encoding it used), this would be much more difficult (since it would require preserving the original data and/or metadata about which of the many possible transfer functions the files used to encode the values; the image loaders don't currently provide this info for all formats). Are there particular file formats you are using? Even better, do you have test images you could share?

Do you mean that, after loading and decoding, the image values has been linearized by the EOTF transferfunction. Thus what you get are a linear quantized values?

@ProNoobLi this isn't quite right. HDRView converts all colors to linear values upon load. By default it assumes sRGB/Rec709 and uses those primaries/transfer functions, but if it finds metadata stating otherwise it will linearize with the corresponding EOTF. These are what you can display as "Raw values" (this is post-linearization). You can also show the values of the "Displayed color", whether as 32-bit float, 8-bit uchar, or hex. These "Displayed color" values are what is being sent to the display. And since the framebuffer is set to the sRGB colorspace, these are always sRGB-encoded values. For instance, if you are showing the "Displayed color (32-bit)" then these are just the linearized "raw" values with the sRGB transfer function applied.
