Summary

  • add WebMCP discovery and invocation guidance to the canonical Playwright CLI skill
  • link the reference from the main skill so the existing install --skills flow includes it
  • use existing run-code and CDP support without Playwright runtime changes

Please file an issue first laying out the motivation for having this in Playwright. This was discussed in #40234; it'd help to know what's changed since.

Hi Yury Semikhatsky (@yury-s), could we keep this PR open for now?

Our team had a chance to discuss with Pavel Feldman (@pavelfeldman) a month back, and this was one of the suggested directions, to create a skill file instead of modifying any Playwright API, to begin with, given that the API is still experimental.

I can also put the PR into draft as well for now.
