The changes made here allow dynamic unfolding and refolding while using emacs builtin isearch that matches text otherwise hidden in the fold. It should make the previous advice of isearch-mode obsolete and works with other isearch based tooling. In my case this was https://github.com/emacs-vs/goto-line-preview.
I got this hint from the author of the goto-line-preview package.
