Hyprland waybar tray issue

I am having an issue with the waybar not showing details after an update. It was looking like this:

But it used to look like this:

So I asked an LLM to fix it and got it working, it also persisted after couple restarts, so I am sharing it here if anyone wants to implement it into the code. Here are the steps I followed to fix:

1 - I disabled the ~/.config/autostart/ArctisManagerSystray.desktop (Commented all the lines to test)
2 - Created a ~/.config/systemd/user/lam-gui.service with the text:

Description=Arctis Manager tray
After=graphical-session.target waybar.service
Wants=graphical-session.target

[Service]
Type=simple
ExecStart=/usr/bin/lam-gui --systray
Restart=on-failure
RestartSec=2

[Install]
WantedBy=default.target

3 - Then executed this:

systemctl --user daemon-reload
systemctl --user enable --now lam-gui.service

Voila, fixed

Also, @tonitch suggested that this could be solved maybe if you wait for graphical-session indeed. but I would think a better fix could be found

I stopped there as the solution was found, but it's probably just dbus firing an event too early or an event not firing at all...

The UI should first use the dbus method to retrieve the status on startup, and only then register to the dbus' signal... though I should investigate this, seems to be kind of a "hidden" bug

The fix in OP actually broke my Omarchy (would probably happen with Arch + Hyprland too) booting after my first reboot. It caused it to boot to a black screen with a static underscore. I was able to boot into a text-only session and have Opencode evaluate the situation (I did not know this caused it at the time).

The issue was lam-gui.service. It was set to start at login (WantedBy=default.target) and its Wants=graphical-session.target was prematurely activating the graphical session before uwsm could take ownership (it complains with "A compositor or graphical-session* target is already active!). I changed it to only start after uwsm initializes the graphical session (WantedBy=graphical-session.target)

The lam-gui.service needs to be changed to the following:
