Project 6 develop a user interface for a Python web application

Objective:

This program is a project offered by OpenClassRooms as part of the Python Application Developer course. It involves developing a web application for the association JustStreamIt.

The website presents the best film a list of the 7 best films a list of the 7 best films in the Adventure category a list of the 7 best films in the Animation category a list of the 7 best films in the Biography category A carousel allows you to navigate through each list.

How it works The program is written in html5, css3 and Javascript It uses a REST API: OCMovies-API-EN-FR

Requirements

cd OCMovies-API-EN-FR

-for windows:

c:\>python -m venv c:\path\to\OCMovies-API-EN-FR

-for linux:

python -m venv /path/to/OCMovies-API-EN-FR

-for windows:

c:\>path\to\OCMovies-API-EN-FR\Scripts\activate.bat

-for linux:

source /path/to/OCMovies-API-EN-FR/bin/activate

pip install -r requirements.txt

if you are this error (i use manjaro):

error: externally-managed-environment

× This environment is externally managed
╰─> To install Python packages system-wide, try "pacman -S
    python-xyz", where xyz is the package you are trying to
    install.

try with this command:

pip install -r requirements.txt --break-system-packages

Make sure that you have all of the required dependencies installed before running the script. You can install the required dependencies by running the following command:

#créer la bdd et lance le serveur
python manage.py create_db
python manage.py runserver

Usage

in JustStreamIt folder. Open the index.html in your favorite internet browser.
