Software Engineer focused on Backend Development, Data Systems and reliable application infrastructure.

I build structured, maintainable and practical backend software using Node.js, TypeScript, Express, PostgreSQL, Prisma and Docker. I completed the Common Core at 42 Luanda, a campus of the Global 42 Network, an international peer-to-peer and project-based software engineering ecosystem. Backend Developer — Jonsero

Contribute to the backend development of I’m Here, a platform that connects clients with professionals and companies according to their service needs. My work includes API development, database integration, backend business logic, data validation, debugging, reliability improvements and integration with frontend functionality. Since 2021, I have provided freelance software development and technical support for students, individual clients and small projects. My work has included debugging, project structure, database modelling, feature implementation, code organisation, technical explanations, documentation and deployment preparation. Over time, my freelance work evolved from projects involving C, C++ and Java towards backend development, databases, REST APIs, Node.js and TypeScript. SGE-USR — Road Safety Unit Personnel Management System

Designed and developed backend modules for a private institutional personnel management system, including relational database modelling, REST APIs, JWT authentication, role-based access control, database migrations and features for personnel management, organisational units, attendance, leave management and auditing. Project status: Private institutional software.


42Devs — Social Platform for the 42 Community

Software Engineer / Backend Developer | Node.js, TypeScript, Express, Prisma, PostgreSQL, Docker, Nginx, SSE, WebSocket

Contributed to backend and infrastructure work for a collaborative social platform built for the 42 community. Worked on PostgreSQL integration and administrative backend features involving users, posts, reports, support tickets, permissions and account bans. Designed and implemented the local containerised development environment with five services: backend, PostgreSQL database, user frontend, admin frontend and Nginx reverse proxy. The team project received a score of 125/100 at 42 Luanda.

Career Tracker API — Job Application Management API

Backend Developer | Node.js, TypeScript, Express, Prisma, PostgreSQL, Docker, Swagger

Designed and developed a REST API for managing professional courses, learning modules, job opportunities and job applications. Implemented routes, controllers, services, data access layers, JWT authentication, per-user resource ownership, filtering, pagination, transactions, validation and centralised error handling. Added automated integration testing, Docker-based local infrastructure and interactive OpenAPI documentation. The API is deployed publicly and can be explored and tested directly through Swagger.

Vision Guard PC — Windows Desktop Wellness Application

Software Developer | Windows Desktop Application

Designed and developed a desktop application focused on healthier computer usage and screen-time habits. Implemented configurable visual and physical break reminders, usage monitoring, statistics, application settings and automatic startup support. Prepared and published a portable Windows x64 release that can be executed without requiring a development environment. The public release also includes a SHA-256 checksum for file verification.

Open Source

I am actively building practical open-source contribution experience with a focus on backend development, Node.js, Fastify, TypeScript, documentation, testing practices and collaborative software engineering workflows.

Current Focus — Fastify Ecosystem

I am studying and contributing to the Fastify ecosystem to improve my understanding of backend framework architecture, API design, request lifecycle, application hooks, plugin-based systems, TypeScript patterns, automated testing and open-source review workflows. My current open-source work includes reading contribution guidelines, running projects locally, studying existing issues and documentation, submitting focused pull requests and documenting the lessons learned throughout the process.
