Once downloaded, double-click the file to start the setup. Follow the on-screen instructions.
After installation, you can customize the bot to fit your needs:
- Search Keywords: Enter the job titles or skills you're looking for (e.g., "software engineer", "data analyst")
- Location: Set your preferred city or region
- Search Frequency: Choose how often the bot checks for new jobs (e.g., every 1 hour, every 6 hours, daily)
- Job Boards: Select which job sites to search (e.g., Indeed, LinkedIn, Glassdoor)
To access settings, open the application and click on the "Settings" tab.
- Automated Job Search: The bot continuously scans multiple job boards for new listings matching your criteria
- Customizable Filters: Narrow down results by salary range, job type, company size, and more
- Email Notifications: Receive alerts when new jobs are found (requires email setup)
- Cross-Platform Support: Works on Windows, with versions available for macOS and Linux
- Lightweight Interface: Uses minimal system resources and runs in the background
- Resume Integration: Automatically attach your resume to applications (requires resume file)
- Application Tracking: Keep a log of jobs you've applied to and their status
Problem: The application won't start.
Solution: Ensure your antivirus software isn't blocking it. Add an exception for automated-job-bot-exec if needed.
Problem: No jobs are found. Solution: Check your search keywords and location. Try broadening your criteria (e.g., use "developer" instead of "senior software engineer").
Problem: Email notifications aren't working. Solution: Verify your email settings in the configuration. Make sure you've entered a valid email address and SMTP server details.
