workshop-github: Refactor and Review (Spring 2026) #37

Description

@mateistanuca1

Goal:
Refactor the GitHub workshop by integrating Git collaboration concepts removed from the Git workshop and removing GitHub CLI (gh) specific tasks. Do not add git ls-tree

The workshop needs to be updated for the Spring 2026 edition. The following tasks must be completed:

Content Optimization:

  • Go through the reading/slides section and remove non-essential technical details to shorten the delivery time.

  • Fix all inconsistencies, typos, and outdated information.

  • Ensure the flow is intuitive for a student who has never used a CLI before.

Instructions for Contributors:

  • Fix any mistakes or verbosity issues you find.

  • Raise a PR.

  • Request review from me (@mateistanuca1) and Razvan (@razvand).

  • Add Fix #[Issue Number] in the commit message or PR description to automatically close this issue once the PR is merged.

In the unlikely event that the workshop material is already perfect and needs no shortening, just leave a comment saying so and close this issue.
