Generally speaking, this app relies on the download of (openstreet) maps. How can we manage this from the hotspot?

Generally speaking, this app relies on the download of (openstreet) maps. How can we manage this from the hotspot?

If the app supports loading from files, this package could include (in addition to the APK) maps for a number of countries or regions. Not very practical but could work.

If the app doesn't support it, I don't think there's much hope.

The app does allow people to chose file location for download/saving. Will have to test at some point but it's a separate point anyway. Let's roll with that already.
