This felt so close to being useful to me. Not that it isn't useful at all, it's a good tool for practice, but - I tried one of the challenges, got a 72, top of the leaderboard is 19. "Wow, I wonder how they were so fast. It felt like there ought to be a better way to XYZ, maybe their solution shows how?" But I can't see the solutions. I can only see the solutions of people who did approximately as good as I did, or slower. I understand from a game perspective why that makes sense, but for learning clever tricks or useful commands, it's really frustrating to have a demonstration of a better way just out of reach, to prevent people cheating for internet points I don't really care about. It feels like this could have been a cousin to Rosetta Code, demonstrating clever ways of doing things, but instead the knowledge of how to do well is artificially gated behind being able to do well.
Possible compromise - what if challenges closed after some period of time (a day, a month, a year, maybe set by the owner), after which all submissions would be visible? So you could learn from old challenges, but keep competition in active challenges fair.
